J.N. Kidds is pleased to introduce one of our newest employees, Michelle Bettencourt.
Michelle knew at a very early age that she wanted to work in the food industry. After receiving a BA in Culinary Arts from Newbury College, she went to The Bancroft in Burlington, where she started as a pastry assistant and eventually became their pastry chef.
J.N. Kidds brought Michelle on as an Operations Assistant to help with ordering, inventory and purchase orders; all very important roles in providing our customers with excellent service. However, even more importantly, Michelle’s pastry experience is invaluable in sharing her experience with the sales staff on the use of our products, so that they in turn can make the best possible recommendations to our clients. As an example, Michelle loves a macaron mix that takes the worry out of making those delicate little pastries!
By staying on top of industry trends and new products, we can help our clients get creative and broaden their offerings to their clients.
Plans for a Test Kitchen
In addition, J.N. Kidds is planning to set up a test kitchen at our headquarters, where Michelle can actually demonstrate product use to the sales staff. Michelle is also planning to create short demonstration videos for clients.
Michelle says, “I’m really excited to be a part of this company because of the experience I will gain on this side of the industry, as opposed to being in a kitchen. It’s a good feeling to be trusted to use my craft to help the company provide even greater value to our clients. I’m just grateful to be able to put all my years of trial and error to use in helping others. Being part of J.N. Kidds’ first test kitchen will be a game changer.
